For example, you can provide holiday photos, photos of the two of you with friends or family, air tickets, hotel bookings or bills showing that you’ve travelled together, and other documents showing the history of your relationship.

    No. They’re two separate documents. A police clearance certificate is issued by the relevant authority and records whether a person has a criminal history. A character reference, if requested, is provided by another person who can comment on the applicant’s character. If we require one, you’ll be told who is eligible to provide it and what information it needs to contain.
