   Yes. I went to the police station yesterday and made a statement. I told the police exactly what had happened and described the appearance of the two people. I also showed the police the wound on my head, and they took photographs of it as evidence. However, the police also told me that even if they eventually catch those two people, the stolen belongings may not be recovered. So I thought perhaps you might be better able to help me.

   They pushed me over while they were taking my bag. I fell to the ground and hit my head on a bench in the shopping centre, and it started bleeding immediately. I was completely terrified at the time. It was already rather late, there were not many people in the shopping centre, and nobody was able to help me straightaway. Later, a shopping centre employee found me and immediately called an ambulance, which took me to hospital. I had five stitches in my head, and the doctor said that fortunately I did not have a concussion. I think someone from the shopping centre must also have called the police, because the police contacted me afterwards. When I felt a little better yesterday, I went to the police station to make a formal statement.

    Just before my bag was stolen, I had withdrawn money from the bank and was going to buy groceries. The bag contained my family’s living expenses for this week, a total of 340 dollars. It also contained my bank card, Medicare card, travel card, driver licence and some other identification documents. Now the money and cards are all gone, and I also have to replace my documents. I really do not know what to do in the meantime.
